LIL' VOICES - Our Preschool Class!

Li’l Voices: Preschool ages 6 months to Pre K. This is an an early childhood music development class. The children will be learning correct pitch, coordination, rhythm, and vocabulary through song and dance. They can discover new things about their voices, bodies and imaginations. Class meets Tuesdays / 10:00am-10:30am. $10 a Session, paid on day of class.

FALL & SPRING SEMESTERS

Freddyburg Youth Theater, our youth education program, consists of 2 semesters during the school year and a summer camp. During the Fall and Spring semesters, we offer 4 Theater Classes and 3 Music Classes. The program is divided into different age groups. Each semester ends with performances on the FTC stage. Scholarships are available upon request. Class sizes are limited so early registration is highly recommended.

THEATER CLASSES

Bitty ‘Burgers: Classes in theater for grades 1 & 2, focusing on interpreting plots and expressing different characters and emotions. Children will learn theater basics such as the areas of the stage and how to move on them. The kids can gain confidence and develop a sense of leadership and teamwork. Class meets Tuesdays from 5:45pm – 6:30pm

Imagineers:  Our acting troupe for grades 3 – 5. The instruction is geared toward children and designed to help them discover their stage voice, confidence in front of others, and self-assurance they will use while growing up. The main focus of this group will be learning the vast amount of available human emotion, and using their entire body to convey each emotion to their audience. Class meets Tuesdays from 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Dramatic Addicts: Our acting troupe for grades 6 – 8. The instruction targets the pre-teen age and educates the idea of of a community on stage. Through the responsibility of a production, the students will learn how to rely on and trust others by achieving personal and social acceptance. This group will spotlight on one objective throughout a scene that will enable them to portray their emotions convincingly. Class meets Wednesdays from 4:15pm – 5:15pm

Teen Troupe: Our acting troupe for grades 9 – 12. The instruction is engineered to build self-esteem and provide the knowledge needed for theater in high school and upon entry to college. The focal point of this class will be learning the actors motivation and accurately conveying that to the audience by use of action verbs through scene analysis. Class meets Wednesdays from 5:30pm – 6:30pm

MUSIC CLASSES

Bitty Chorus: (K-2nd Grade) This class promotes the love of music and aids in confidence building through teaching steady beats, pitch, listening, and memorization. This is a performance based class. Meets Tuesdays from 4:15pm – 5:00pm

Local Vocals: (3rd-6th Grade) This class promotes the love of music and aids in confidence building through teaching steady beats, pitch, listening, and memorization. This is a performance based class. Meets Mondays from 4:15pm – 5:00pm
Voices: (7th-12th Grade) This class provides students an opportunity to nurture artistic expression through choral singing, performance vocal training/techniques, and inspiration for a lifelong love of music.  This is a performance based class. Meets Mondays from 5:30pm – 6:30pm
